Seismic / Structural Calculations

Seismic / Structural Calculations

Pipp Mobile can supply stamped and signed Seismic Evaluations for installations of the Pipp Mobile product and supplied shelving throughout the country.

All of Pipp Mobile’s Anti-Tip systems, corresponding carriage and track systems have been approved in all Seismic Zones. Additionally, Pipp Mobile can supply certified load calculations on shelving configurations for floor loading if required.

The Seismic Analysis for a project located within a Seismic Zone is prepared, signed and stamped by a licensed engineer. The cost includes the preparation of the seismic calculations and sending them to the appropriate parties. The cost does not include permit fees, applications fees, or any other fees associated with the filing of the permit. Permit filing and any other fees associated with the permit, are the responsibility of the General Contractor or a Permit Expeditor service.

Pipp Mobile is not able to provide the filing service because our installation companies are not required to carry a state contractor’s license or a city business license for the city we are providing the installation services. If a city business license is a project requirement, the installation company will be able to obtain a license with adequate advance notice. The installer’s time on a project is relatively quick in the overall construction of the store which does not allow them the time necessary for permit filing, corrections (if necessary) and acquiring documents. Installers are typically on site for 1 to 2 days.
